Kids are not small adults...so why teach them that way?
Learn how to teach kids and adolescents Pilates the right way using m.a.c. Pilates for Kids™

m.a.c. Pilates for Kids™ is a unique, integrated class using Pilates, games and improvisational exercises to build strength, confidence and awareness for kids of all ages. The curriculum and principles learned from m.a.c. Pilates for Kids™ focus on spontaneity and creativity that develop from mind-body exercise. "Mind, Art, Core Pilates Studio has done it again. Creator, Melissa McNamara, fuses her exemplary knowledge and intellect of anatomy, physiology and Pilates with her creative, fun and performance skills to create a unique Pilates program designed especially for kids ages 7-17.
Pilates for kids takes safe, functional Pilates exercises and provides programs in the form of games and stories to create a kid friendly approach to exercise.
The use of stories helps younger aged children to execute exercises from the beginning, middle and end of the story in a fun flow.  The stories are so fun and engaging you forget you are exercising.
Use of games, team building exercises and partnering help older tweens and teens to learn exercises while building  fun, social connections and learning to take ownership of learning and even teaching exercises to the instructor and each other.
I have to say this was an amazing workshop that bought out the kid in me. This may be Pilates for Kids but the way Melissa teaches this brings out the kid in everyone who participates. Pilates for Kids can be a great addition to your studio offerings. I highly recommend it for those looking for unique, fun programs that can reach kids and even families."
